Jönssonligan är en trio bestående av tre kriminella som utför planerade stötar, oftast för att stjäla kassaskåp eller andra säkerhetsförvaringar. Det finns flera filmer om gruppen och den första filmen, Varning för Jönssonligan, hade premiär 1981. I rollerna får man bland annat möta Gösta Ekman som Charles-Ingvar ”Sickan” Jönsson, Ulf Brunnberg som Ragnar Vanheden och Nils Brandt som Rocky. I den andra filmen dyker dessutom Vanhedens kusin Dynamit-Harry, som spelas av Björn Gustavsson, upp. Dynamit-Harry ersätter sedan Rocky i den tredje filmen om Jönssonligan.</p>

De flesta av filmerna har en del återkommande händelser. Sickan är den som planerar och det sker ofta efter att han fått en smäll i huvudet eller i fängelset. Den slutgiltiga twisten i filmerna består ofta av att den största delen av bytet de är efter försvinner. Men en del av pengarna, eller vad de är ute efter, brukar de hinna rädda precis i tid.

Förutom de fantastiska Jönssonligan-filmerna har det även skapats ”Lilla Jönssonligan”. De filmerna har liknande handlingar, skillnaden är att huvudfigurerna är barn. Filmerna är alltså mer riktade till yngre tittare men även vuxna kan tycka att de är relativt roliga att se.
